The Real Madrid forward has been spared the friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and the USA and will remain in Valdebebas ahead of the Madrid derby.
Portugal national team coach Fernando Santos has left Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo out of his squad for the upcoming international break when the Selecção are scheduled to play two friendly games against Saudi Arabia and the USA, having already qualified for the 2018 World Cup.
Therefore the Portugal captain will remain at Valdebebas with the rest of the Real Madrid players who have not been called up for their national sides to prepare for the capital city derby against Atlético on November 18, Zinedine Zidane’s first Liga test after the break.
