Cover your eyes, Liverpool fans...
Sevilla are readying themselves to unveil Vincenzo Montella as the successor to sacked former coach Eduardo Berizzo, with the Italian expected in Spain today:
With Kepa Arrizabalaga expected to arrive at Real Madrid this January - as the club's only winter signing - we've taken a look back at Los Blancos' previous mid-season transfer window dealings:
Premier League strugglers Swansea City have appointed former Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal as their new manager. The 52-year-old takes over from Paul Clement, who was sacked by the Swans with the side rooted to the bottom of the top flight.
"It is true, there is interest from Roma," says Ruggero Lacerenza, Aleix Vidal's agent.
Striker Luciano Vietto is set to join Sporting CP on loan from Atlético Madrid:
Discussing the eye-watering transfer fees being forked out by football's top clubs nowadays (and, let's be honest, plenty of middling-to-crap ones too), Barcelona and Spain legend Carles Puyol has said: "The amounts are crazy, but this is the market. And I don't think this will stop. Yesterday, Virgil van Dijk was bought for £75m. Years ago, this was impossible."
Real Betis have announced that club legend Joaquín Sánchez has signed a new, three-year contract:
Also on the goalkeeping front, Guillem Balagué has the lowdown on a possible Thibaut Courtois return to Spain:
There's also plenty to talk about as far as Real Madrid are concerned: Diario AS's Sergio Santos brings news that Los Blancos are planning just the one January signing...
Meanwhile, we brought you very interesting news coming out of Atlético Madrid: head coach Diego Simeone is understood to have told the club that they can go ahead and sell winger Yannick Carrasco:
Yesterday's big done deal was obviously Liverpool's capture of long-term target Virgil van Dijk from Southampton, in exchange for 75 million big ones - a world record fee for a defender.

Good afternoon! The January transfer window is almost upon us!
