Gareth Bale is back from injury and looking sharp based on his performance and brace on Sunday night against Celta Vigo. If his problems with injury remain at bay, there is little doubt over his ability to help Real Madrid out of their current rut in form. His performance in Vigo at the weekend has not gone unnoticed by the English press, who have resucitated rumours of a move to the Premier League.
The 'Welsh Express' took centre stage on the back pages on Monday
The Express say, "The Wales international starred in their La Liga game against Celta Vigo last night but, despite that, he could be sold at the end of the season" before suggesting Bale is still wanted by Manchester United.
Sky Sports said,"Bale made up for lost time in becoming Real Madrid's top scorer with four goals." Meanwhile, Manchester Evening News say, "It was an encouraging night for Bale, though, who looks to be returning to something resembling his best as he starts two games in quick succession again and United will have been impressed."
While the BBC remain apart on the field with Benzema missing the game against Celta Vigo, his return could help Real Madrid if Bale is to continue on his current path with the Frenchman likely linking up better with Ronaldo and freeing him up to play in his preferred position instead of as the focal point of Zidane's attack. Performances like that on Sunday, however, won't do much to kill the speculation constantly linking the 'Welsh Express' with a move out of the Santiago Bernabéu.
