Quique Setién, manager of Real Betis, spoke to the press ahead of his side's game against Barcelona at the weekend. On the agenda was Piqué's honesty, injuries and Fabian Ruiz being linked with Real Madrid along with comparisons to Dani Ceballos' situation at the club.
Piqué: "There are things about Piqué that I have always liked, the first is as a player. The second is that it seems good to say what you think. I like the people that speak the truth, that are sincere and confront things with honesty."
Fabián's renewal: "If if takes too long to sign, I will speak with him, for sure. For the players, sometimes it is not easy to make decisions when there are teaming reaching out to you but there are things that go on top of that and that is your personal situation. For everyone, there is a time in your life. Now is not the time for Fabián to leave Betis. Sometimes, you make decisions when you are 21 that are not correct. I am watching a case similar to Ceballos, who had the thrill of Real Madrid and now we see his face and he is sad. Forget about the safe money, what you like is to play and to grow. We have all made that mistake, surely."
Injuries: "Mandi suffered a sprained ankle yesterday in training and we will see if he is in condition to play, it's a doubt. Barragán will now make it. For sure, in the coming week he can join the group. Francis hopes to be good and we can count on him, at the very least he will be on the bench. Adan has a problem with his pubic bone and he has trained some days and others now but I hope that he is good."
