Inter Milan and Barcelona have reached an agreement for the transfer of Rafinha. Barcelona have accepted the latest offer by the Serie A side, which is set to be a loan until the end of the season with an option to buy for €35 million along with another €3 million in variables.
The agreement between the player and Inter has been settled upon for the last number of days and on Friday, the negotiations between clubs has concluded. Barcelona had asked for an option to buy for €38 million but Inter would not budge on that initial fee. They were, however, willing to add the extra three in variable payments.
Inter simply wanted to guard themselves against disappointment as Rafinha has hardly played in the last nine months despite coming on against Espanyol in the Copa del Rey midweek. He will be the most expensive La Masia product to leave Barcelona when the transfer goes through next July. He will travel to Milan and do his medical before watching Inter and Roma in Serie A at the weekend.
