París Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé will have fully recovered from the injury he picked up in the Ligue 1 game against Lyon in time to play against Real Madrid in the Champions League. This is the message on Monday from PSG manager, Unai Emery.
Patience key for successful Mbappé return
The 19-year-old sensation was originally considered a doubt for the Last 16 clash on February 14 but trained yesterday with the rest of the squad and will return for more today. PSG have a Tuesday night fixture against Rennes in the French domestic cup.
Emery confirmed that Mbappé had not returned sooner for the Ligue 1 leaders as a precaution based on advice from the club's medical team.
"He wants to play but the doctors say that he has to be patient. We will see tomorrow. It's important that he returns in good shape. There are still four games to go," said the coach referring to the Real Madrid first leg.
