Nigeria’s National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) is set to host a match between Nigerian football legends and Barcelona legends in a charity match, reported Africa News on Friday.
The match, organized to honour the work of Nigerian First Lady Aisha Buhari, will feature stars like Jay Jay Okocha, Nwanko Kanu and Netherland’s Edgar Davids, who played for Barcelona in 2004.
Many more names are to be confirmed.
A poster depicting Ronaldinho wearing Barcelona’s kit has been circulating, however, his presence has not been confirmed yet.
The tie is scheduled for Saturday March 10 at the newly renovated Abuja national stadium.
Clash of Legends
The match, dubbed “Clash of Legends” is being organized to support the charity work of Mrs. Buhari’s foundation Future Assured Programme.

NCWD’s Director General, Mrs. Mary Ekpere-Eta, at a press conference, said NCWD and UNICEF will host a two-day programme in support for the work Nigeria’s First Lady is doing for the Nigerian children.
