Iker Casillas kept a clean sheet on what could turn out to be his final Champions League appearance: "Who knows what the future holds" he said after the game.

Iker Casillas kept a clean sheet on what could turn out to be his final Champions League appearance - his 171st in the competition, a figure which no other player has reached. The 36-year-old keeper says he doesn't know whether where he will be next season, but told Onda Cero' s El Transistor programme that if he isn't at a club involved in European competition, this was a perfect way to end it all.

Iker Casillas shakes hads with Liverpool's Alberto Moreno and James Milner on what could turn out to be his final Champions League game at Anfield.

The Kop shows respect for Casillas with ovation

And in time-honoured fashion, the Kop showed their respect for Iker by giving the Spanish keeper an ovation as he took up his position for the start of the second half. Casillas acknowledged the gesture by applauding back at kopites - a rare sight at Anfield - one which usually is reserved for the game's greatest legends.

Casillas keeps Liverpool out

Last Champions League game: "If this was my Champions League farewell, it hasn't been a bad night at all - at this fantastic stadium, keeping a clean sheet... but no one knows what the future holds".

Future plans: "My objective is to win the league with Porto because this group of players deserves to lift the trophy. We'll see what happens at the end of the season".

Casillas saves from Danny Ings at the Kop end in the dying moments of the match.

Good luck to Real Madrid

Real Madrid through to the quarter finals after beating PSG: "Congratulations to Real Madrid, let's hope they go as far as possible, and get to the final in Kiev".

Looking back over your career: "If I look back, I can feel proud of the things I've won in the game, of everything I have achieved. I would like to say 'Thank You' to the fans. It's been many years in the Champions League and it's great to come to a stadium like this and be given such a warm reception".
