Brazilian media see Neymar's future far away from Paris

Portada de AS: El PSG pedirá por Neymar 400 millones

Neymar was the hot topic in Brazilian media after the report that PSG had put a €400 million price on their star player after just one yeat in Paris.

The news that Neymar has already had a price put on his transfer and that Real Madrid are already making moves to acquire his services dropped like a bomb in Brazil.

Most of the attention has turned to Russia 2018 now and the star is expected to recover on time to be in top form for his national side after undergoing surgery in Belo Horizonte before returning to Rio de Janeiro to recover. "The elimination of Paris Saint-Germain from the Champions League made the rumours of a Neymar transfer return with force thanks to the desire of the player to return to Spain", published the paper Lance! Their front cover said "Only talk about Neymar".

Neymar's mission to "conquer Europa" with PSG was a failure

The veteran journalist Juca Kfouri said in his column in the Folha de São Paulo that "Neymar is frustrated with the PSG loss and not being able to take part in the return leg" and will arrive in Russia with the "knife between his teeth" to show the world that he didn't jump ship after the loss in the first leg against Real Madrid. Globoesporte also refers to the "failure" that was Neymar's mission to "conquer Europe" with PSG and the elimination in the last 16 "draws a perfect scenario" for him to return to Spain. The most important sports media in Spain says that "the rumours about his departure are not new and started a few months ago".

Even Tite, the national team manager, was speaking of Neymar and what he expects in Russia. "Neymar and the national team need each other. He is aware of that. He is not a kid and he understands the strength that the team needs so that he can shine."
