The Times reported this weekend that the Brazilian wants a major salary hike if he's to remain at Paris Saint-Germain.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly denied a claim in the UK media that Neymar wants a pay rise to stay at the Ligue 1 club next season.

Neymar after 1.3m euros a week to stay at PSG

The Times said on Sunday that the 26-year-old Brazil international, who has been identified as Real Madrid's chief summer target, is negotiating an increase in his weekly wage - from 750,000 euros to 1.3 million euros.

Neymar's camp is said to have taken advantage of PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi's visit to Brazil last week to discuss a revision of his current contract, which runs until 2022, and lay out the new terms that the player is after.

PSG have denied The Times report, says L'Equipe

However, French newspaper L'Equipe has reported that the club have refuted The Times' story

Brazilian reportedly after summer exit

Having only joined PSG in the summer, speculation is rife that the 222-million-euro man is eyeing an end-of-season departure from France, with Brazilian media outlet UOL outlining the reasons why in a report published on Friday.

According to the publication, Neymar has told friends that he is unhappy about the violence of opposition players, permissive refereeing, the poor state of away pitches and the fact that the PSG squad has to stay in hotels before matches.
