Asensio: '¿Neymar? We'll see if I ever play alongside him...'

Marco Asensio spoke to the media as part of preparations for Spain's friendlies ahead of the World Cup this week. He spoke about Neymar, Ronaldo, Isco and what he has improved on in the last year.

What have you changed this year: "Football-wise, I am more mature. Every year, I try to improve little details that make you become better. I have improved many things, my positioning on the field, defensively also. I am a better player now than I was a year ago."

Playing with Real Madrid: "I want to continue for many years at Real Madrid, this club is where I always wanted to play."

Morata at the World Cup: "The absence of Morata is a decision by the manager. It's not my thing to say if he has to be at the World Cup. He has possibilities like anyone else.

The best five at the World Cup: "We feel we have a great team, we have a chance to win it, now we have these games to see the level that we are at. We have to have confidence in ourselves and later we will see what happens. It's complicated. Brazil are very strong, Germany as a team are great and in every competition they are always there. Later, England, France...the games can be decided by small details.

Playing alongside Lucas Vazquez: "Now, the manager gives us confidence, things are turning out well for us and we are very compact. We have to continue in this line with this good dynamic."

Zidane being unfair with some players: "That's not the word, he picks players to play, we are a team and all of us are important and to win competitions we have to feel important. When you have more minutes, the better, and more being as young as me. Playing important games makes you grow and be better players. The continuity is not an obsession but all of us want to play not just me."

Zidane continuing at Real Madrid: "I think he has to continue, he has solved everything very well. He has shown winning the league and Champions League.. I think that the demand is very high and they forget things very quickly. I think he is the ideal manager."

Neymar: "We will see what happens with Neymar, now is not the moment to think about this because we have important things in front of us. He is a great player, he has shown that at Barca and at PSG, we will see is we play together at any stage."

Cristiano: "Every year he is at an impressive level, Messi and Cristiano are at a great level but the one I focus on is Cristiano, as I have him beside me." 

Isco: "He is like always, I think that he has been and is very important for Real Madrid. Now, he is not counted on with many minutes but there is complete confidence in him, he has always shown that when he has played."
