Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Omar Mascarell guested in Onda Cero's El Transistor programme last night. The player, who is on loan from Real Madrid, spoke about tonight's semi-final against Bayern Munich and also his future - as it is taken as read that Madrid will trigger the clause to buy him back for four million euros this summer.
Would love to see Liverpool in the Champions League final: "The Liverpool-Roma game was amazing to watch, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was hoping for a Liverpool win because they are a team I really like a lot - I'd like them to get to the final".
Friends with Jesé: "I'm in touch with Jesé. We've been close friends since we were 12 and we've always had a good relationship".
Going well in Germany
Life in the Bundesliga: "Germany suits me. I'm very happy there and things have been going well for me since Day One. I can't complain because everything's going great".
Bayern looking strong: "Bayern Munich are in top form. They're looking very strong, they've already won the league and they're in the Cup final. They cannot wait for Wednesday to put in a good game against Madrid".
Vidal ruled out: "They won the treble with Heynckes and this will be his final year with Bayern. They'll want to see him off by doing it again. Vidal's absence is good news for Madrid because he never stops running, battling and he has quality. Madrid will be happy he's not playing".
Thiago doubtful, James certain to start: "I have my doubts as to whether Thiago will play or not. I'm sure James will be in the line-up".
Money on Madrid: "If I had to put 100 euros on one team, it would have to be Madrid. Bayern are better than ever but Madrid is Madrid and they are not afraid of anyone. They are the best team in the Champions League and they have to show it on Wednesday. I'm absolutely sure they'll get a good result".
This summer and next season
Madrid to buy you back at the end of the season: "My back-back clause is four million euros and Madrid are going to pay it".
No idea what will happen next season: "It doesn't depend on me. All I can do is play as best as I possibly can until the end of the season, Madrid will exercise their option to buy me back and after that, they will have the final say. If they decide that I am not up the level required to be in the first team squad then we'll try and find a solution so that I can continue developing as a player and improving my game. If that happens, I'll look for a club where I feel comfortable and where they have faith in me.
"Zidane has not said anything to me about whether I will do the pre-season with Madrid. That's all up in the air still. I hope I do. If it happens, I'll do everything I can to show that I have what it takes to be part of the squad. But football doesn't begin and end there. If I have to move on, I'll look elsewhere to further my career".
