The midfielder put himself in line for a call up by Zinedine Zidane as he joined the group for training on Monday. Dani Carvajal is also targeting recovery for May 26.

Just hours after the 2-2 draw in the Camp Nou Clásico, the Real Madrid players were back in training as they prepare for their league trip to Sevilla. With the knowledge that Cristiano Ronaldo will be out for a couple of games, good news came in the form of Isco Alarcón.

Disco making a timely comeback

The return of Isco comes after the midfielder missed the last three games for Real Madrid. The Málaga-born player trained normally, looking to have recovered from the shoulder sprain suffered in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, in the Allianz Arena against Bayern Munich. His presence was somewhat missed in the subsequent second leg at the Bernabéu and league games against Leganés and Barcelona.

Isco was one of several squad players to get back to full intensity training working in a group with Achraf Hakimi, Jesus Vallejo, Theo Hernández, Mateo Kovacic, Marcos Llorente, Dani Ceballos, Lucas Vázquez and Borja Mayoral. Others, those who had played a significant part of the Camp Nou encounter stretched their legs with continuous running before completing their recovery inside the Madrid facilities.

Carvajal eyes Liverpool final

As well as the absence of the Cristiano - who underwent tests to determine the extent of the ankle injury suffered against Barça - Dani Carvajal worked alone as he continued his personalized recovery plan, with some ball work, with a view to the final of the Champions League on May 26th.
