All 32 teams that will participate in the World Cup in Russia 2018 have handed in a squad of 23 players to take part in the tournament. Of all the nationalities, there are two countries that do not have a single player that players in their local league. Sweden, who are in Mexico's group, along with Senegal have zero players representating their national league.

Mexico's national team will played with 65.2% of their players plying their trade outside of LigaMX. That is lower than 22 countries in the tournament. Germany have 34.8% of their team made up of 'outsiders' and England are the only team with 0% made up of players who play outside of the Premier League. 

Other countries with low percentages of 'outsiders' in their team are Russia, the hosts, with 8.7% and Saudi Arabia at 13%.
