PSG and Manchester United still assessing Cristiano Ronaldo bid - report

PSG and Manchester United still assessing Cristiano Ronaldo bid - report

JUAN FLOR

DIARIO AS

SportMediaset are reporting that the two European giants are working during the World Cup to see if a deal can be done, with 45 million euros allegedly on the table for the player.

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo may be focused on duty to his country right now (something he has done fairly well so far) but, unsurprisingly, he remains at the centre of the summer transfer rumour mill.

PSG and Man Utd assessing Cristiano

The Portuguese hero on Friday evening in the Fisht Stadium has as yet not fully committed his future to Los Blancos (not that commitment is much to go on these days anyway) and SportMediaset has reported that there are two clubs working hard in the background to take the number seven away from the Bernabéu: Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the report, the French champions have offered a bargaining chip of 45 million euros a year to the player, a sum that he was apparently looking for. As well as this, it is claimed PSG would hand over 300 million euros to Florentino Pérez to make the move possible.

Bale a difficult target

Across the English channel sits Ronaldo's former club, now under the leadership of Jose Mourinho. SportMediaset say that they continue in their assessment that he is the best player in the world right now, although they don't feel they could compete with PSG when it comes to making an offer. The outlet even suggests that a move for another Madrid star, Gareth Bale, who Mourinho would prefer, is possibly also beyond their reach.
