Jesé Rodríguez turned up for duty with Paris Saint-Germain today. The winger published a photograph of his return on social media wearing a PSG training kit. He returns to the French club following a discreet, if not uneventful loan spell at Stoke City. PSG
PSG looking for a buyer for Jesé
Jesé, who has made the news more for off-field reasons than his sporting success on the pitch in recent months, made just 13 appearances last season in which he scored one goal - in the win over Arsenal. His last official game for PSG was on 14 December 2016 and since then, he has been out on loan - first to Las Palmas then to Stoke. But it seems that now he will be moved on permanently as PSG coach Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that the player does not figure in his plans for the new season. The French club now have the task of finding a buyer.
Knee injury curtailed Jesé's progress
Jesé joined PSG from Real Madrid on a 25 million euro deal in August 2016. He was one of the great white hopes of La Fábrica, but after suffering a serious knee injury during a Champions League match, he never managed to recover the promising levels of football he had shown previously.
First day back at work
PSG returned to the training ground this week after a month and a half of holidays. Thomas Tuchel took his available players through his first training session as coach. Apart from Jesé, the other players who were involved in the first session of the pre-season were Adrien Rabiot, Marco Verratti and Layvin Kurzawa.
