According to Sky Sports, Barcelona have offered Chelsea €60 million for the services of Brazilian, Willian, having admitted interest recently. The right winger was one of Chelsea's best performers during last season's last 16 tie between the Premier League side and Barcelona and obviously left an impression.
They had reportedly made an offer of €50 million that was rejected and returned with a second bid. Willian would take up a non-European place in the squad and Barcelona's three spots are currently filled by new signing Arthur, Philippe Coutinho and Yerry Mina but the Colombian defender has been linked with a move out of the club with Everton reportedly keen.
It is a transfer many at Barca are baffled by given the 29-year-old's specialised role on the right. That spot and role is already filled by Ousmane Dembélé, their record signing last summer. The French winger has not played a significant role for his country at the World Cup but it is difficult to understand why Barcelona are so keen on a player at that price with Dembélé waiting in the wings.
