An agent of Borja Mayoral has met an intermediary from Alavés to speak to about the striker's future and the possibility of a move, according to Cadena SER. The club, asked by As, have rejected completely the claims that anyone has spoken to Mayoral's people.
The striker will travel with Real Madrid on their preseason tour and it will be up to Julen Lopetegui as to whether he counts on the him or not based on his performance in the US. The information provided by SER suggests Mayoral would be happy with a move but wants to wait until the end of the tour.
With the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid are missing a striker who scored a lot of goals in order to replace the Portuguese attacker's production. Given the difficulties in signing a world class striker, it seems Raul de Tomas and Mayoral could be options but in the case of the latter, he doesn't want to spend another season on the bench when he could be playing regularly elsewhere.
