After an AS article earlier this Wednesday questioning his whereabouts, Fabio Coentrao has responded by posting pictures of himself working out at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground on his Twitter page, which had remained inactive for more than 60 days.
Up to this point, the Portuguese player, who spent last season on loan at Sporting Lisbon, had not been seen at Valdebebas, together with the rest of the squad, despite having one year left on his seven-year contract.

The two photos he posted on Twitter this Wednesday evening, showing him training alone with fitness coach Javier Mallo, were accompanied with a message taking aim at the earlier media reports: “Training session, ✓; Real Madrid, ✓; Press, X”.
It remains to be seen if Coentrao will form part of Lopetegui’s plans this season or if he will move on to another club.
