Everton forward Sandro Ramírez arrived in San Sebastián this afternoon where he is expected to sign a one-year loan deal with Real Sociedad on passing a medical with the Basque outfit.
Olabe accompanies Sandro through medical
Sandro was seen arriving at the Policlínica Gipuzkoa just after 4pm local time. He was accompanied by Real Sociedad's Director of Sport Roberto Olabe. He posed for photographers with a Real Sociedad scarf before entering the clinic to undergo a medical revision. Should all go to plan, Sandro will sign his contract with La Real this evening - he will spend the new season on loan at Anoeta. The Basque side have not secured an option to buy the player outright after the one-year loan agreement expires next June.
Sandro played 86 minutes of Everton's EFL Carabao Cup tie against Rotherham last night, after manager Marco Silva declared that he hoped the Spanish striker would stay at Goodison despite not handing him a single minute of playing time in any of the three Premier League matches so far. Real Sociedad decided to go for Sandro as a replacement for Imanol Agirretxe, who made the painful decision to hang up his boots for good this week, after being unable to get back to full fitness following a series of long-term injury problems.
