Zinedine Zidane’s return to the dug-out is getting ever closer. The French coach, who left Real Madrid after winning a third consecutive Champions League at the end of last season, spoke to Spanish state broadcaster TVE and revealed he would be back in the dug-out in the near future.
Zidane, accompanying his son at a game in Arnedo in La Rioja said: “No doubt about it, I’ll be back coaching soon, because it’s what I enjoy”.
Rumours link Zidane with Manchester United job
The statement, made during a game being played by his son Elyaz as a player in Xabi Alonso’s Infantil A team, has only increased the rumours that are linking the French coach with the Manchester United job, particularly in light of Mourinho’s troubled situation.
Just today, UK newspaper The Mirror published a Zidane route map to the Man Utd job, which included the signing of Kroos, Thiago Alcántara, James and Cavani.
