Raúl Tamudo has €112,000's worth of watches stolen in burglary

Last month, on Sunday 12th August to be precise, Raúl Tamudo's home in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona was burgled and a collection of watches were stolen. Two days after the incident, Catalan daily La Vanguardia reported that goods worth around 60,000 euros were taken but it has emerged that the robbery was much more serious than first feared.

According to La Sexta reporter Carles Quílez, Tamudo had personal items valued at 112,000 euros taken during the burglary - among them, collectable watches incuding a Rolex, a Cartier and two Hublot pieces. Also missing is a watch which is far less valuable but with great sentimental value - one which he was presented with to commemorate Espanyol's Copa del Rey triumph in 2006, when he captained the team and scored in the final.

In the investigations which followed, it emerged that thieves gained entry by picking the lock using the X-Ray sheet technique. Quílez explained that local police have identified a suspect, a member of the Albanian mafia who is specialized in house breaking and broadcast an image of the person they want to talk to about the break-in. For the moment, no arrests have been made in connection with the burglary.
