Barça's Sports Manager for the Football Area was highly critical of the Chilean midfielder in an interview published in today's edition of 'Sport'.
Sports Manager for the Football Area at Barcelona Pep Segura took aim at Arturo Vidal in an interview published in today's edition of Sport which, despite claims to the contrary from Valverde and Guillermo Amor, confirm that the Chilean midfielder's recent messages on social media did not go down well at the club. "Vidal knows that he made a mistake, he showed a complete lack of respect towards his team mates; I'm sure that he will be put it right". In the same interview, Segura added that the club doesn't not have any contingency plans should coach Ernesto Valverde not continue and that overall, he is pleased with how the squad has drawn up: "The objective was to make the squad stronger than last season's and we have achieved that", he explained. As for Valverde: "He has a two-year contract with the option of a third year. When the right moment comes along, the club will sit down with him and we'll make a decision which suits both parties".
