In the 55th minute of the game against Levante at the Bernabéu, Lopetegui’s Real Madrid set a new, unwanted record. Marcelo eventually brought the run to an end.

Real Madrid set a new goal drought record during the match against Levante at the Bernabéu. Failing to notch before the 55th minute of the match meant Lopetegui’s side had gone 465 minutes without a goal, the longest ever period without scoring in the club’s 116 year history.

The previous 464 minute record was set in 1985.

Marcelo eventually brought the barren streak to an end when he scored in the 71st minute, to set the new Real Madrid goal-shy run at 481 minutes.

Real Madrid last scored against Espanyol

Real Madrid’s last goal came against Espanyol on 22 September, with Asensio getting the only goal of that game in the 41st minute.
