The 23-year-old was rushed to hospital early on Wednesday after suffering a stroke.
Real Sociedad midfielder Luca Sangalli was rushed to hospital after suffering a mild stroke early on Wednesday, the Basque club announced.
The 23-year-old was not included in the squad for the Copa del Rey game against Celta de Vigo on Thursday, with early reports suggesting he’d come down with a flu.
On Wednesday night, Real Sociedad announced the reason for Sangalli’s omission in a statement which read: “This morning Luca Sangalli suffered a mild stroke. He is now in the Stroke Unit of the Hospital Universitario Donostia, where his progress is being monitored.”

Sangalli came through the Real Sociedad youth system. He was definitely promoted to the first team on 14 August, 2018.
Earlier this month, the midfielder scored his maiden goal in a 3-1 away win against Athletic Bilbao.
