The Chelsea manager praised the Spanish striker for his brace against Palace but insisted there is still room for improvement: "I think he can improve".
Álvaro Morata was the star performer in Chelsea's 3-1 win over Crystal Palace, bagging a brace for the Blues this afternoon. But manager Maurizio Sarri feels there is still more to come from the Spnaish centre-forward: "He's a little bit fragile. From the mental point of view. But he's very young. I think he can improve, improve very fast".
Morata's game is improving
Sarri however, says he has noticed Morata moving up a gear or two in his most recent games: "Álvaro has improved during the last month. [He's] improved for the confidence, improved for the personality, improved also from the technical point of view. Now he's able to play more with the team, I think. But I think, also, that Álvaro has a very great physical and technical potential, so I think he can improve more".
The player himself admitted after the game that he's not quite firing on all cylinders, telling Sky Sports: "I could have scored a hat-trick so it was not the perfect day but at least the team got all three points which is what matters".
