A new testimony from Eduardo suggests the men witnessed Daniel Correa's murder after they joined Edison Brittes to castrate the man from the trunk of the car.

New details have emerged regarding the horrific murder of Sao Paulo player Daniel Correa. The player, who was mutilated after recieving a beating, was murdered with his body being discovered in a wooded area in Sao José dos Pinhais.

Edison Brittes, the main suspect, drove the car to the slaughter house where the body was found along with three men and with the victim in the trunk of the car. David William Silva and Igor King said they did not see Brittes killing the footballer but Eduardo, another man linked to the murder, said the four men left the car at the same time.

Eduardo's testimony conflicts with the others

Apparently, the initial plan was to "castrate and not kill the victim" because Brittes claimed the man tried to rape his wife. The police have ruled that out but it is believed that Brittes saw the photos on the phone of the player and became increasingly violent.

Eduardo's lawyer explained in detail what happened. He says the plan was to castrate Daniel but the men were invited to tie him up after the beating. "On the way, Edison's behaviour changed when he saw the photos with his wife," he says. They all left the car to hang Daniel up and to cut off his penis but Edison opened the trunk "and surprisingly slit Daniel's throat." Edison then asked for help to move the body out of the trunk but none of the three men would do so. Edison kept hitting him on the neck and one of the men felt bad and they all helped when Edison untied Daniel according to the lawyer.
