The player is out of contract in June 2020 and is yet to renew with the Andalusian outfit with a buy-out clause of 18 million euros.
Despite Pablo Sarabia having 18 months left on his existing contract with Sevilla, the player has yet to renew his deal with the Andalusian side.
Real Madrid have been monitoring the situation closely with Sarabia having played his under-age football at Valdebebas for six years, even playing for Real Madrid Castilla and making one Copa del Rey appearance for the first team in 2009. The 26-year-old is one of European football's hottest properties, bagging 15 goals in 26 (official) games this season and the play-maker is now knocking hard on Luis Enrique's door for a full international call-up.
Madrid continue to monitor the player's situation and any transfer movement may be conditioned on the outcome of the ongoing situation with Isco and Croatian central player Luka Modric, who was briefly flirting with Serie A side Inter Milan after last year's World Cup. Sarabia would be the perfect replacement for either player should they elect to leave the Santiago Bernabéu outfit.
The Sevilla player would also be able to count on the support of a current dressing-room heavyweight in Dani Carvajal. Indeed, both players spent the recent Christmas break on holiday together.
Sevilla are apprehensive as Sarabia's cache increases and no sign of pen being put to paper with a figure of 18 million euros sounding like a bargain in the current transfer conditions.
