Serdar Aziz has reportedly been transfer listed after missing a match complaining of a stomach bug, despite his wife, Tuğçe Aziz, posting a photo of him in The Maldives.
Turkish defender Serdar Aziz has reportedly been placed on the transfer list by Galatasaray after missing a match complaining of a stomach bug, despite his wife, Tuğçe Aziz, posting a photo of him in The Maldives.
According to Black Sports Online, the defender told his club that he was suffering from an “upset stomach” ahead of their match against Sivasspor. Galatasaray, on their part, allowed the 28-year-old a compassionate leave, hoping for a quick recovery.
Aziz was rumbled when his wife posted pictures on Instagram of the pair enjoying a break on the Indian Ocean islands, causing Galatasaray to make the player available for a move upon the opening transfer window in January.
The Turkish giants are currently sitting fifth in the Süper Lig, and have already been eliminated from the Champions League.
Last week, they achieved a 4-2 win over Sivasspor – the match Aziz skipped – at the Türk Telekom Stadium, and their next game will be an away Turkish Cup encounter against Boluspor.
Aziz, who has been capped 16 times by Turkey, joined Galatasaray from Bursaspor in 2016, and has become a valuable member of the squad.
