The midfielder did not mince his words after receiving some online opprobrium for dining out on a 24-carat gold plated steak at Nusr-Et in Dubai.
Franck Ribéry has responded in no uncertain terms to criticism from journalists and online observers of his visit to Dubai restaurant Nusr-Et where he treated himself to a steak coated in 24-carat gold plate prepared by renowned chef Salt Bae.
Ribéry posted a video of the 1,200-euro meal being delivered on Instagram by the Turkish restaurateur, who has gained fame for his inventive ways of preparing meat and counts Diego Maradona among his admirers. However, the lavish dish drew plenty of negative commentary but Ribéry wasted little time in defending his right to do exactly as he pleases in an expletive-ridden online riposte.
Ribéry ready to "set the record straight"
“In 2019 we’ll set the record straight. We’ll start with the envious, the haters, who were obviously born because of a broken condom. F**k your mothers, your grandmothers and your family tree as well. I don’t owe these people anything, my success is down to God, me and those close to me, the people who believe in me.”
