Manchester City's David Silva has taken to social media to wish team mate Brahim Díaz the best as he joins Real Madrid from the Blues for 15 million euros.
Manchester City midfielder David Silva has said goodbye to team mate and compatriot Brahim Díaz with a heartfelt message posted in message on social media pages, wishing the 19-year-old the best as he prepares to start a new chapter of his career at Real Madrid.

“I wish you the best for this new stage, keep working with that humility and sacrifice, and only success will come,” said Silva on Twitter. The same message was also posted on his Instagram page accompanied with a picture of the pair leaving the dressing room.
Brahim Diaz says goodbye to Manchester City
Brahim Díaz also took to social media to share a farewell letter to his colleagues at Manchester City, where he joined as youth player in 2014 before being promoted to the first team in January, 2018.
“Today I close a chapter of my life and I say goodbye to Manchester City, the club where I have grown. I came here being a kid and now I am a professional footballer,” said the Spanish midfielder before going on to thank the managers, the backroom staff and his team mates at the club.
Considered one of Spanish football’s most promising talents, Díaz has signed a six-and-a-half year deal at the Bernabéu running up to 2025 with Madrid paying a fee of 15 million euros up front with an additional five million in add-ons. Real Madrid made his signing official on Sunday evening.
“The 19-year-old midfielder (Málaga, 03/08/1999) joins the club from Manchester City aftecatching the eye with his direct attacking play, speed with the ball at his feet and his excellent vision,” said Real Madrid on club’s official website.
The young midfielder will be handed the number 21 shirt, which was worn last season by Borja Mayoral but is currently unoccupied.
