Solari on Bale leaving early: "We will solve that matter in private"
The Real Madrid manager says the issue with VAR was not complaining but Real Madrid defending themselves, which they see as their right to do.
Santiago Solari faced the media ahead of Real Madrid's game against Leganés in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.
Copa del Rey: "The Copa is really nice, you have to face it with the attention that it deserves from the first minute of the game. We have been self-critical and we have to be more decisive in the final third of the field."
Modric was very critical. Are you in agreement with him? "I heard something else. Luka is a very elegant player on and off the field and that's why he is the Ballon d'Or winner. We are all Madrid and we work together and we assume the responsibility together too."
Is Brahim available for his debut? "I see him very well, happy to be here at Madrid. It will depend on administrative paperwork, I'd imagine."
Why did you bring Cristo into training? Do you need another signing in January due to the lack of goals? "The numbers are what they are and we work to improve them. Cristo is a Castilla player who we have in our squad. We always have the chance to try to break the barrier for these footballers between Castilla and professional football. Plenty of players have made debuts, it's a good year in that sense. Goals are the hardest thing to do in football and we will work to improve."
VAR debuting in the Copa: "It all depends on the rules being more clear than the technology. If the rules are applied in the same way then it doesn't really clear things up. Sometimes as a spectator, I don't understand how it works. They will perfect it. The other days they were not complaints, just us defending ourselves, which is out right."
