The Barcelona attacker scored 10 goals and provided 21 assists under Tuchel with Borussia Dortmund and says he can be as good as he wants if he stays focused.
Thomas Tuchel, the manager of PSG, spoke in his press conference ahead of his side's France Cup game against Avant de Guingamp. The former Borussia Dortmund manager discussed Neymar and how he sees the Brazilian "very happy". He also discussed his time at the German Club when he crossed paths with Ousmane Dembélé.
"Ousmane is an incredible player with a lot of talent. I enjoyed seeing him in every training session and he has extraordinary talent," he says. "He is lovely and charming but he is a little bit crazy. You laugh a lot with him but at the same time, we had serious discussions. We were never bored!"
Dembélé's longstanding desire to play at Barcelona
"When he is focused, he can do whatever he wants. When I spoke with him for the first time, he told me: "I want to play at Barcelona" and he is there now. He can do whatever he wishes but he has to be focused and improve every day. I like Dembélé a lot. I had a good year with him."
The French attacker scored 10 goals in 49 games under Tuchel and he also provided 21 assists in those games. It was that form under Tuchel that paved the way for his move to the Camp Nou.
