Fernando Llorente came close to leaving Spurs in the winter transfer window but Harry Kane's ankle injury has handed him a fresh opportunity in Mauricio Pochettino's side - one which he has grasped. The 33-year-old is on seven goals in the 20 games he's starred in (695 minutes in total) - most of them coming on as a sub. He was on target against last night against Dortmund, which means he's scored in all the competitions Spurs have played in this season and while he has hinted that he would like to return to his old club Athletic Club, he told El Larguero last night that the offers he has received have not come from Bilbao, nor a club from the south of Spain.

Return leg in Germany: "We can't afford to take anything for ganted, we've gained a great result tonight but we have to be careful, Dortmund are a very dangerous side".

Jadon Sancho: "I've been very impressed by him - he's a player with incredible qualities".

Favourites: "Real Madrid are always the favourites in the Champions League".

Deciding to stay at Spurs: "Maybe Harry Kane's injury played a part in me not leaving the club in the January window".

Offers from Spain: "I haven't had a phone call from Bilbao, but I did get a call from another club in Spain... but not a club from the south".

One-year extension with Spurs: "If I renew for one year I'll be delighted. The project here at Tottenham is very exciting, but we are also prepared for any phone call that might come through".
