Barcelona issued a press release this morning. Samper will formally bid farewell tomorrow at 13:00 hours. He will join Iniesta and David Villa at Vissel Kobe.
Barcelona officially announced at midday this morning that Sergi Samper has rescinded his contract with the club, which was due to expire on 30 June. Samper, whose progression has been hampered by a series of injuries over the past few years, will hold a press conference at the Ciutat Esportiva at 13.00 hours tomorrow. His next stop will be Japan, where he will join up with Andrés Iniesta and David Villa at Vissel Kobe. It will be his first experience of playing abroad following his loan spells at Granada and Las Palmas.
Samper, who made his first team debut for Barça in the 2014-15 season, leaves with an impressive list of honours, which includes LaLiga, the Champions League, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super cup and one Club World Cup.
