Not since 2014 have Real Madrid played in a Monday night fixtures and Zidane was asked if it was "humilitation" to emphasise their elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Ajax.

Real Madrid suffered a season-ending week, which was also Santiago Solari's last as the manager of the club, when they were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Barcelona, knocked out of the Champions League by Ajax and knocked back in their attempt to catch Barcelona in LaLiga with a loss to their rivals in the league at the Bernabéu also.
