Maybe a good day to see Luca Zidane

Update:

Courtois is injured. He returned following games for Belgium having tendonitis in his right quadricep. He has not been able to train and yesterday Zidane made his injury official. It's bad luck. It seems it never rains but it pours. Courtois is sad, as was clearly seen the other day when appearing on El Transistor, so far as believing that people turn on their TVs in order to see you make mistakes, just like with Morata. Zidane announced that his three goalkeepers will all play in the upcoming games and perhaps today it would have been Courtois, to resuscitate him. But we already know that it will not be, leaving it between either Keylor or the manager's second son, Luca. I'll return to this decision.

Courtois replaced a beloved Keylor

But first, I want to focus on Courtois, who feels he is being viewed badly. The point is that he has not played well, something he has to admit himself. The other issue is that he arrived in order to take the place of Keylor, a beloved and respected goalkeeper, one of the protagonists of the phenomenal triple consecutive Champions League run. Everyone was happy with Keylor, except Florentino, who had already tried to fill his shoes (gloves) with De Gea, then Kepa, and finally managed it with Courtois. Keylor was the victim of an injustice that Courtois did not create, but he was the tool used for it. Thereafter, he needed to perform like Oblak or Ter Stegen, but it has not been like that, and now he gets these looks.

Delicate Zidane-Zidane balance

And today? Keylor or Luca? Keylor returns from national duty across the pond. The match is at home and is against Huesca. It wouldn't be strange to see Zidane taking advantage of this to give some experience to his third choice goalkeeper, his son. He already gave him this chance on the final LaLiga game of last season, in La Cerámica. There Madrid drew 2-2 and the boy did neither good nor bad. But Zidane rejected Kepa at that time, and while Courtois arrived in his absence, there seems to be no doubt that the manager sees Luca as a Madrid goalkeeper of the future. Right now the youngster is playing very well for Castilla [as well as this]. However, relationships of father as coach to a playing son are delicate. The history of football is full of cases where it went wrong.
