According to French football agent Bruno Satin, Raphaël Varane's brother says the defender feels he may be in need of a new challenge.
French football agent Bruno Satin has confirmed that Raphaël Varane is weighing up a summer departure from Real Madrid, but says the defender has not yet spoken to any potential suitors.
Varane yet to make decision on future, says agent
Disclosing details of a conversation he has had with the France international's brother, Satin told Canal+ this week: "A final decision hasn't been made yet; he [Varane] is mulling things over at the moment.
"He's won everything at Madrid, and at the end of the day he's achieved everything he needed to - which is why he feels like now is maybe time for a change.
"But I can assure you that he's not in negotiations with anyone at the moment."
L'Équipe reported last month that Varane is considering leaving the Bernabéu after eight years in Spain, with a host of clubs including Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain subsequently linked with the player.
Real Madrid readying offer of improved contract
However, as was revealed by AS on Monday, Madrid are eager to keep hold of the 25-year-old, and are preparing to offer him a significant pay rise in a bid to persuade him to stay.
