Andy Carroll in the sights of MLS side New England Revolution

The 30-year-old England striker hasn't had a great year with West Ham, so a move from the Hammers to the US could be on the cards at the end of the season.

Andy Carroll could well have his future on the other side of the pond in the MLS, according to reports in UK daily paper The Times, and since the 30-year old player hasn't extended his current contract with West Ham he will be free to look for a new club during the summer, a search that could take him to the United States.

According to NBC Sports, the English striker's destination could well be New England Revolution, a club that has been very public about wanting to add a new Designated Player to their squad, meaning Andy Carroll could take that spot.

The striker hasn't had his best season at the Premier League due to a series of injuries over the course of the season. In total he's managed just 30 appearances over the last two seasons.

Andy Carroll's career

Carroll debuted in the Premier League in the 2006/07 season with Newcastle United and moved to Liverpool in 2011 for a then club-record transfer of 45 million dollars. In 2012 he moved to West Ham on loan, with that switch becoming permanent in 2013.

Carroll has played 302 games getting 79 goals and 45 assists between the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Europa League, and UEFA Cup.
