The Frenchman also talked about Benzema, Kroos and Bale: "Karim can play with anyone; the best players always can".

Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane, spoke to the press ahead of his side's trip to Leganés on Monday evening

How's the team looking?:  "We've trained well and, with the time we've had, we've been working on our fitness. We're happy".

How's Kroos?: "He has gastroenteritis and was ill last night so he didn't come. He'll be back today or tomorrow".

And Kroos's future?: "Toni is a key player. He's been at Madrid five years and has done great things. He's a great player that brings calm. I've always liked him. Everyone speaks about Toni, and other players, in terms of whether I want them or not. Every player is good and important. There will be changes but not right now, at the end of the season.

Is Benzema compatible with an out-and-out number 9?: "He can play with anyone; the best players know how to play together and Karim is no different. He's not an out-and-out number nine. When he started he played more on the wing, deeper. He can do many things - score like a 9 and link up like a 10".

Gareth Bale's situation: "There are seven games left. Let's see how we play. There will be changes but Gareth is part of the team".

Do you admit that Madrid can balance the books with Isco, one of the highest profile players?: "Many players at Madrid would be good for balancing the books. They are all very good players and other clubs are interested in all of them, not just Isco. But I'm not going to say any more".
