FC Barcelona three games away from securing the treble

Valverde's men are in the Copa del Rey final, have already claimed the LaLiga title and hold a 3-0 advantage over Liverpool in the Champions League semi-finals.

Despite a reluctance within the club to publicly discuss the possibility of the Catalan side claiming the treble, Ernesto Valverde's side are just four steps from away from bagging the Copa del Rey trophy and lifting the UEFA Champions League for the sixth time in the club's history after they retained their LaLiga throne after a 1-0 win over Levante at Camp Nou.

Under the guidance of Pep Guardiola in the 2008/09 season the club became one of the few European sides to win their domestic league and cup along with Europe's greatest honour. This feat was repeated with Luis Enrique on the 'azul-grana' bench in the 2014/15 season.

A nervous 1-0 victory over Levante UD was enough for Barça to be crowned LaLiga champions 2018-19 and head of the Spanish FA Luis Rubiales presented the trophy to Lionel Messi at a packed Camp Nou with the Argentine bagging the only goal of the night coming off the bench for the second half.

Barcelona celebrate winning La Liga with the trophy

The next trophy on the line for the Catalan side is the Copa del Rey. Barça could lift their fifth consecutive title on May 25th when they face Valencia at Real Betis' ground Benito Villamarín.

Barça won the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Liverpool 3-0 at Camp Nou to put one foot in the final, with the victors after next week's return fixture at Anfield set to face either Spurs or Ajax in the final in Madrid. The final hurdle in Barça's triple title stakes.
