According to Corriere dello Sport, PSG sporting director Antero Henrique is planning to lure the Juve boss to Paris with Antonio Conte also in contention.

Thomas Tuchel has not found his first season at the Parc des Princes entirely comfortable with PSG walking the Ligue 1 title but failing to win any of the three domestic and European cup competitions, falling at the last 16 stage in the Champions League for the third season running and suffering a shock defeat to Rennes in the Coupe de France final last weekend. On both occasions, the Parisians surrendered a two-goal advantage to eventually lose out.

That has led PSG’s Qatari owners to consider Tuchel’s position after just one season at the helm and sporting director Antero Henrique has presented PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi with a shortlist.

According to Corriere dello Sport, it is a very short list and contains just two names, with one in bold at the top: Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri.

PSG will turn to Conte if Allegri stays at Juventus

It will not be an easy task with Allegri settled at Juventus and in possession of yet another Scudetto, although the Italian tactician also fell short in the cup competitions and surrendered Juve’s grip on the Coppa Italia by losing 3-0 to Atalanta in the quarterfinals, marking the first time since he joined the Turin club that he has not won the domestic cup.

In the Champions League, Juve were knocked out at the quarterfinal stage by Ajax, but as many sides have found this season there is little shame in that. The Champions League is also not as much of an obsession for the Juve board as it is for PSG’s financiers.

However, there have been some disagreements between Allegri and Juve chairman Andrea Agnelli over transfer dealings, which PSG hope they can exploit by giving Allegri free rein at the Parc des Princes.

Corriere admits that the chances of luring Allegri to Paris are slim and also throw the name of his Juventus predecessor, Antonio Conte, into the hat. The former Italy manager decided not to find a new club in 2018-19, preferring to wait until the summer to embark on a new project after leaving Chelsea, and turned down the chance to take over at Real Madrid after the sacking of Julen Lopetegui.
