The club's medical services issued a report on the Uruguayan striker shortly after 19:00 hours and without disclosing too many details, informed that the 32-year-old will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee to repair damage to the medial meniscus. Leading specialist Doctor Ramon Cugat will perform the operation this evening supervised by a member of Barcelona's medical team.
