PSG's transfer strategy ready to undergo changes
PSG are caught in the crosshairs of FFP and need to sell before they buy with their transfer strategy being to sell before they can buy anyone.
Paris Saint-Germain could be set to go through a period of transition. Their endless success in Ligue 1 means little given their elimination in the Champions League and the loss in the French Cup.
Their two big investments, Neymar and Mbappé, have left them in the crosshairs of FFP and that could lead to a change of strategy at Parc des Princes while leaving their two stars a little more available than they might like. According to Le Parision, their change of strategy will involve cheap reinforcements and prioritising departures before bringing in new talent.
PSG looking for cheap reinforcements, can't spend big
According to the French publication, Allan is one of the favourites to arrive in the middle of the field following the exits of Motta and Matuidi in recent years and the future departure of Rabiot this summer. However, the arrival of Ander Herrera on a free transfer will help and it also seems Tuchel is considering James Milner. Another possible signing of Filipe Luis if Layvin Kurzawa does not continue in the capital.
This summer, they are required to sell to balance the books and if they don't sell one of their stars, Mbappe, Neymar or Cavani, there are other names on the table including Draxler, Meunier or Choupo-Moting. There are other situations they need to resolve too with Jesé, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Real Betis.
With Tuchel signed up to a new contract, Le Parisien say the German will arrive into next season with more authority to direct the dressing room and that includes taking Neymar's priviledges away.
