Richard Ledezma spoke to Telemundo Deportes after the Stars and Stripes' qualification, where he assessed his performance on the pitch: "I feel very good, I played well and helped the team." Speaking about France and playing without fear, he added: "Yes we can get to the final, we can."

Surprised by Mexico's performance

Ledezma also took the opportunity to talk about Mexico's performance after his southern neighbors were eliminated in the first round of the World Cup without a single point to their name.

The midfielder pointed out the difference between Mexico and USA in his opinion, stating: "Mexico's elimination surprised because they did not play as a team; Mexico is very good with individuals, and we are good as a team."
