Nelson Semedo's agent Jorge Mendes has opened talks with Juventus. Atleti have outbid the Italians for Demiral who has yet to make a decision.
Diego Simeone is targetting Barcelona right-back Nélson Semedo as the man to replace Juanfran Torres and the Portuguese defender seems to be keen on the idea and is pressuring Barça to let him leave. However, it has emerged that Juventus have entered the bidding for Semedo with Italian daily TuttoSport reporting that the player's agent Jorge Mendes is already holding talks with Juve. The Serie A champions are resigned to losing João Cancelo this summer with Manchester City believed to be ready to splash out 50 million euros on the multifaceted full-back.
Sassuolo's Demiral in Juve's orbit
Juventus could also be about to steal another player on Atleti's summer shopping list - Sassuolo centre-back Merih Demiral. La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Spanish side have placed a 20 million euro offer for the 21-year-old Turkish defender who was superb last season but Juve may well have beaten them to it with claims they have already tabled a 15 million euro bid and offered a five-year contract. Demiral must decide whether he wants to accept Juve's offer and play a secondary role as back-up for Chiellini and Bonucci - at least for next season, or feature more prominently under El Cholo at Atlético.
