LaLiga 2019/20 fixture list

LaLiga 2019/20 fixture list release!

Clásicos confirmed.

So, that's it! We have all the key dates for next season's LaLiga. You can now move forth with your plans for your weekend away in Spain. Whether you're travelling to San Sebastian or Seville.

The full fixture list is here!

And the Madrid derbies take place:

Gameweek 7: Atlético Madrid - Real Madrid (29 September)

Gameweek 22: Real Madrid-Atlético Madrid (2 February)

A nice Madrid derby to start LaLiga for Atlético. They welcome Getafe to the Wanda Metropolitano on the first weekend of the season.

Valladolid and Real Madrid have both asked to play their home games away until the international break but they play each other in Gameweek 2. Something will have to give there.

The promoted teams play Leganés (Osasuna), Eibar (Mallorca) and Villarreal (Granada) in their first games back in the top flight.

The Clásico is on in October because it was too late last year. They've changed it this year so that there will definitely be something to play for.

One of the most underrated debies in football. The Sevilla derby dates!

And the final gameweek. Leganés play Real Madrid and Alavés welcome Barcelona.

We have the dates for the Clásico. 27th October at Camp Nou is the first.

First gameweek.

Guadalupe Porras Ayuso, the first female linesperson in LaLiga out to take the next ball out of the pot. And she takes number 2.

So far, we have 27062.

Bryan Gil from Sevilla and Ander Barrenetxea from Real Sociedad were on the stage for that last number representing Spain's under-19 team.

We have number 2,7, 0 and 6.

Speaking of referees, Guadalupe Porras will make history as the first female linesperson in LaLiga next season.

Spanish referee, Alberto Undiano Mallenco, out now for the next number.

So far, we have 2 and 7. Not sure what that means but let's roll with it.

Don José Emilio Santamaría takes out number 7.

José Santamaría, former defender and winner of 17 major trophies including six league titles in Spain, on the stage now. 89 years young and he'll draw the second ball out of the pot for us.

Elizegi takes the first ball out of the pot. It's number 2.

The season starts on the weekend of the 17-18 of August.

The president of Athletic Bilbao, Aitor Elizegi, steps up to take the ball out of the first pot.

We are just taking a look now at the teams in the Primera!

Villarreal getting impatient.

The promoted teams from Segunda this season are Osasuna, Granada and Mallorca so another trip to the islands for everyone this season too!

Another thing to mention is Spain will not have a representative at the Club World Cup this year in December for the first time in five years. That often caused problems later in the season with games in hand and squeezing the postponed game into the fixture list. No issue there this season.

The first Clásico will be in November and at Camp Nou as confirmed by Javier Tebas previously.

The fixtures will be assymetrical this season and that means the second half of the season will not reflect the first half of the season.

Just a reminder that the draw for the Segunda will be done at 17:00 CEST for all you Rayo Vallecano fans out there... and the rest.

We are just waiting for the Spanish football federation now!

Sevilla have former Real Madrid manager at the helm and have brought in a number of signings including Lucas Ocampos, Jules Koundé and Joan Jordán from Eibar. They are eager to get back into the top four and there will be plenty of competition for that spot.

And the Barcelona situation needs to iron itself out with Griezmann linked and a sensational potential move back to the Camp Nou for Neymar on the cards.

Atlético Madrid smashed their transfer record yesterday when they signed Joao Felix. They also lost very important figures in Godin and Juanfran and will lose Griezmann.

The first weekend of LaLiga could be the most interesting in a very long time. Real Madrid have undergone the most significant rebuild ever with a record spend and loads of player leaving.

99% of the draw will be done using software. The rest will be selected manually in order to avoid high risk games at certain times and to avoid Clásicos being played too early or late in the season. Also, to allow teams play close to home ahead of the Christmas break.

With the remodelling of the famous Santiago Bernabéu stadium already underway, the capital club has requested no early games at home.

Four teams have asked to play their games away from home to start the season including Villarreal, Real Madrid, Eibar and Real Sociedad.

Their stadiums are undergoing work and won't be finished in time.

The Seville derby obviously another clash to keep an eye on. Meanwhile, we will have the Clásico as per usual along with some nice derbies between Leganés and Getafe, for example, in the battle for Madrid's suburbs. And also Levante, Velancia and Villarreal on the east coast. The Barcelona derby and the Basque all worth keeping an eye on too!

If you want to know where to watch it? Here is our guide but you'll have to speak Spanish to follow along. Alternatively, you can just follow it here. We will have all the info you need with plenty of chat after too.

Hello and welcome to the big LaLiga 2019/20 fixture list reveal! Planning a trip to Spain for some footy action? Trying to plan your season around El Clásico? Well, you'll soon know what weekends to keep free and what dates to type into SkyScanner whether it's Mallorca or Madrid that's your destination for a football weekend next season.
