Pogba's agent: "Man United have known his feeling for a long time"

With Real Madrid and his former club Juventus circling, Manchester United are still keen to hold onto Pogba and hope to convince him to stay.

Paul Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has come out publically for the second time in less than a week to say that the French player is determined to leave Manchester United and expressed his hope that a solution to facilitate his exit can be found shortly.

A few days ago, Raiola told The Times that “everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on,” from Old Trafford, adding that he was in “the process” of negotiating his transfer, with Real Madrid and Juventus understood to be the frontrunners to sign the 26-year-old midfielder.

“Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul’s wishes,” the Italian agent explained.

Pogba has done nothing wrong at Man United – Raiola

Now in a statement released to talkSport this Tuesday, Raiola has again reiterated that United are aware of Pogba’s desire to leave and defended his client for his professionalism in relation to the matter amid criticism of the midfielder’s behaviour.

“The player has done nothing wrong,” he said. “He has been respectful and professional in every way and always. The club has known his feeling for a long time.

“It is a shame other people only like to criticise without the right information, and I am also sorry that the club does not take any position against this. Hopefully there will be soon a satisfying solution for all parties.”

With Madrid and his former club Juventus circling, Manchester United are still keen to hold onto the Frenchman and coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to convince him to stay.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Pogba can still be persuaded to stay.

Although if Pogba’s mind is made up and he is set on moving on, as Raiola has suggested, the Red Devils will not make it easy for Juve or Madrid, and are expected to demand a restrictive figure in the region of 150 million euros for the World Cup Winner.

Pogba and Lingard square off in Perth ahead of Man United pre-season tour

As the saga continues regarding his future, which is looking increasingly further away from Old Trafford, Pogba is currently training in Perth with the rest of his United team mates ahead of their upcoming Asian tour fixtures.

Solskjaer’s men landed in the Western Australian capital yesterday and the club have caused quite a stir after they posted a photo which appears to show Pogba having a tense stand-off with Jesse Lingard.

“Nothing like a walk to stretch the legs after a 16-hour flight,” was the message United posted with the video, which shows the players smiling, laughing and generally enjoying each other’s company during a casual stroll in a residential area of Perth.

However, in one clip, Swedish centre-back Victor Lindelof is seen intervening in what seems like a heated exchange between Pogba and England midfielder Lingard.

United will play two games in Perth against local side Perth Glory and English Championship club Leeds United, before leaving Australia to face Inter Milan in Singapore and Tottenham in Shanghai.
