South Korea go out with a splash at World Championships
Kyung Da-seul was the toast of the nation after scoring for the hosts, who didn't even have a waterpolo team a month before the competition.

“Score more and have them score less.” Those were the words spoken by Kyung Da-seul after the hosts suffered a 30-1 defeat at the World Waterpolo Championships during which she made history by scoring the first-ever goal her country had managed in the sport.
A month before the tournament started, South Korea had no waterpolo team and threw one together mostly using swimmers with all but one of the squad aged under 20.
But against Canada in their final group game, South Korea bagged twice, with Kyung on the score sheet again, in a 22-2 loss. Their opening game saw Hungary put 64 goals past South Korea without reply.
