Gareth Bale's situation has not changed. The Welsh attacker will not line out with his teammates in Houston against Bayern Munich. He is not injured and the club have announced he won't be on the bench for the game.

Zidane will announce what happened in his press conference after the game. The International Champions Cup allows 19 players in the squad but without Bale and the injured Brahim, they will only have 17.

During his press conference ahead of the game, Zidane said there was no problem if Bale stayed. The enigmatic absence of Bale, however, suggests there is more happening behind the scenes. He did not play a single minute in the last three league games and will have to wait to get his first minutes in the preseason.
